Opti-clay
Opti-clay™ is another innovative product to clean and polish today’s
high-tech paint systems. While ordinary liquid and paste waxes/polishes
remove layers of paint in the process of cleaning, Opti-clay™ only
removes contaminants, leaving the surface smooth and clean without
damaging clearcoat finish. Combination of Optimum Car Wax and Opti-clay™
is the fastest, easiest, and most effective way to clean & wax the
finish and to remove surface contaminants. So fast & effective, it is
used by many professional detailers.
Simply lubricate the surface with Optimum Car Wax, and rub Opti-clay™
over the lubricated area a few times in a back & forth motion.
Contaminants will adhere to Opti-clay™ and are removed from the surface
easily and effectively. Then wipe the surface with Optimum Microfiber
Towel to leave a brilliant shine.
Opti-clay™ removes:
-
BUG RESIDUE
-
TREE SAP & POLLIN
-
PAINT OVERSPRAY
-
RAIL DUST, BRAKE DUST, INDUSTRIAL FALLOUT
-
OTHER STUBBORN AIRBORNE POLLUTANTS

Directions for use
This and all other paint cleaning
applications should be performed in a well-shaded area and the paint
finish should be cool.
-
Wash and rinse the vehicle with
Optimum Car Wash, making sure there is no dirt or loose debris on
the paint finish.
-
Spray Optimum Car Wax on a section
of the car.
-
Using adequate pressure, rub Opti-clay™
across the lubricated area until paint contamination is removed (3-4
times) and the finish is clean and smooth. At this point, you will
be able to feel the contaminants being removed from the paint
finish, and may be able to see what you have removed from the
surface.
-
Wipe the area with Optimum
Microfiber Towel to leave a brilliant shine.
-
Continue in sections until the
entire vehicle is complete. When one side of Opti-clay™ becomes
soiled, turn the piece over and continue. When both sides are
soiled, simply pull, stretch and fold the material to expose a new
clean side.
Note: When reworking the material no
longer exposes a clean side, discard and use a new piece.
Do not use in direct sunlight or on
hot surfaces. Occasionally inspect the bar to make sure there is no
heavy dirt or debris on it, and never reuse a bar if it has been dropped
on the ground.
FAQS
Why should I use Opti-clay™?
Some surface contaminants can react with paint and cause irreversible
damage if left on the paint surface for too long. These contaminats can
also interfere with bonding of wax to the surface of paint affecting the
durability of wax. Last but not least, contaminants make the surface
rough reducing gloss.
How often should I use Opti-clay™?
If the surface of the paint feels rough to the touch or while drying the
car and anytime you see visible contaminants on the surface, it is time
to polish with Opti-clay™. Depending on the environmental condition in
your area, you may need to clean your paint anywhere from 1-3 times a
year.
When should I replace Opti-clay™?
On the average one bar of Opti-clay™ is good for up to 10 applications.
When the surface looks contaminated and stretching and folding does not
create a clean surface, it is time for a new bar. It is also recommended
to discard the bar if it is dropped on the ground since dirt and debris
that it picks up can scratch the paint.
